Summer Camp info:
Here is a link for our App State XC Camp Signup form. $125 deposit per athlete is due by May 23rd, with the balance due by July 2nd. Camp is from July 21-July 25, at a total cost of $425. Camp is for athletes that are able to run non-stop for a minimum of 45 minutes. Our camp provides an opporturnity for our athletes to train hard, bond as a team, and work on their endurance. 2013 Spring Cross Country conditioning begins Monday May 20th, from 4-5:15pm, and is open to everyone, rising 7th graders and older, boys and girls. Rising 7th grades will need to wait until the are actually "graduated" from 6th grade before attending conditioning, which means the first week of summer. Please make sure all paperwork is renewed and bring with you to the first conditioning. Read the sections below to make sure everything is current. Conditioning is optional, but HIGHLY recommended. New athletes should bring ALL required paperwork as listed below to their first conditioning session. Our conditioning schedule will be:
Make sure to bring plenty of water, and pre-arrange to have someone pick you up by 5:30 each of these days. Changes due to severe weather will be posted on our Facebook page, and Twitter account, links to each are to the left.
Interested in joining our Cross Country (XC) teams? Complete the paperwork items at the bottom of the page, and bring them ALL and a check for $50 payable to DFHS for the athletic fee, to your first conditioning or practice. Athletes will not be allowed to participate in conditioning without COMPLETE paperwork. Current spring athletes must have a renewed physical dated AFTER April 15, 2013. Sign up for our XC email list on the left to stay informed, and follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Athletes should always be prepared for weather conditions, have water, and make arrangements for prompt pickup from conditioning. Additional information can be found in the Handbook, using the link at the top of the page. Please make sure are read through our attendance policies for when the season officially begins in Aug. **PRIOR to participation in conditioning or practice, all athletes MUST have:
1) a birth certificate on file with the school ( if new to athletics, please bring a copy)
2) a medical and eligibility info sheet completed (F-A100)
3) a current physical dated April 15, 2013 or later (F-A200 or equivalent, 2 pages)
4) a medical history form completed (F-A200, 2 pages, same as #3)

5) All high school athletes must also pay a one-time per school year $50 athletic participation fee. Please make checks payable to Dutch Fork High School, with "Athletic Fee" and your athlete's name in the memo line.

Practice is every school day, 3:50pm-5:30pm @ DFHS. Practice may run longer, but please have rides prearranged for pickup at 5:30. Athletes should ALWAYS bring water with them and be prepared for inclement weather.
Make sure you have ALL paperwork/fees and bring with you to the first practice. Do not fax or drop off the paperwork at the school. Give to the coach in person at practice.

Congratulations Roland Hakes, winning the 1600 Meter State Championship, his 4th State Championship in his career, with the fastest time in the state, 4:13, setting a new DFHS record, third fastest in State 4A History.

Congratulations Roland Hakes, winning his second Cross Country State Championship ! Roland set yet another DF 5K record with a 15:10 time, equaling the State Championship course record, 4th best in State 4A history, finishing his Cross Country career as the fastest 5K runner in DF History !

Roland Hakes, 2010 4A State Cross Country Champion!
Congratulations to State Champion Roland Hakes for setting the new DF 5K record with a 15:34 time, breaking the old record of 15:36.75 he set a week earlier, and 15:42 set by Everett Ernst in 1996!
