Fleet Feet Spike Night! August 15th, 6-8 PM.
Fleet Feet is offering a session and opportunity for our athletes to be custom fitted for running gear for both training and racing. No one is required to attend, but it is a great chance to receive a discount on items you may want or need. Fleet Feet has been a sponsor of ours in many ways through the years. They are located at

**PRIOR to participation in conditioning or practice, ALL athletes MUST have a physical dated April 1, 2015 or later. There is a NEW packet of info that must be completed. Do not fax or drop off the paper at the school. Athlete must bring the paper work with them to the first conditioning or practice.
Summer Camp Info: If you are interested in joining us for our summer camp at Appalachin State July 19-23, 2015, please complete this letter ( click to download ) and bring or send to Coach Lindler with the non-refundable deposit of $125 by Tues Jun 2. The balance of $300 will be due by July 2nd. After the deadlines, please contact the coach to see if any rooms are still available. Our summer camp is a great experience and a key component to a successful fall season. Camp is a rigourous experience that comes with many rewards. Attending athletes must be able to run 60 minutes non-stop, and is not suitable for first time runners. Here are the additional forms required to be brought on departure day - download forms - We will have a Notary Public available at the bus. Please make sure all forms are complete! Interested in joining our Cross Country (XC) teams? Please see calendar above. Athletes should be able to run non-stop for 60 minutes before attending. The last day for new athletes is Aug 28. Please make sure rides are available for athlete to be picked up no later than 15 minutes after completion. Complete the paperwork items above, and bring them ALL with a check for $50 payable to DFHS for the athletic fee, to your first practice. Do not fax or drop off the paper work at the school Athlete MUST bring the items with them. Athletes will not be allowed to participate in practice without COMPLETE paperwork and athletic fee. Physicals must be dated AFTER April 1, 2015. Please use the packet linked above instead of the forms at your doctor's office. Make sure all forms are complete - all signatures including the athelte. Athletes should always be prepared for weather conditions, have water, and make arrangements for prompt pickup from practice. Rising 7th graders may attend conditioning after the last day of their 6th grade year, so this year, the first day for rising 7th graders to attend will be Tuesday June 9th. There are minimum time standards that must be met. Please see our handbook, linked above for more details.

During school, practice is every day, 3:55pm-5:45pm @ DFHS. Practice may run longer, but please have rides prearranged for pickup at 5:30. Athletes should ALWAYS bring water with them and be prepared for inclement weather. Please read our Handbook section to make sure you can meet attendance requirements before committing. Summer conditioning for the fall season will begin in May 2015. Be ready- those that participate in summer conditioning have a much better fall season.

Congratulations Roland Hakes, winning the 1600 Meter State Championship, his 4th State Championship in his career, with the fastest time in the state, 4:13, setting a new DFHS record, third fastest in State 4A History.

Congratulations Roland Hakes, winning his second Cross Country State Championship ! Roland set yet another DF 5K record with a 15:10 time, equaling the State Championship course record, 4th best in State 4A history, finishing his Cross Country career as the fastest 5K runner in DF History !
