**PRIOR to participation in conditioning or practice, ALL athletes MUST have a physical dated April 1, 2014 or later. There is a NEW packet of info that must be completed. Download the Physical Packet here. Any missing items will prevent the athlete from participating. PhysicalPacket.pdf
Do not fax or drop off the paper at the school. Athlete must bring the paper work with them to the first conditioning or practice.
Interested in joining our Cross Country (XC) teams? Summer conditioning begins Wednesday May 21! Please see calendar above. We will condition on B days from 4-5:15. Please make sure rides are available for athlete to be picked up no later than 15 minutes after completion. Complete the paperwork items below, and bring them ALL with a check for $50 payable to DFHS for the athletic fee, to your first conditioning or practice. Do not fax or drop off the paper work at the school Athlete MUST bring the items with them. Athletes will not be allowed to participate in conditioning without COMPLETE paperwork. Athletes should always be prepared for weather conditions, have water, and make arrangements for prompt pickup from conditioning. Additional information can be found in the Handbook, using the link at the top of the page. Please make sure are read through our attendance policies for when the season officially begins in Aug. Rising 7th graders may attend conditioning after the last day of their 6th grade year, so this year, the first day for rising 7th graders to attend will be Tuesday June 10th.
Conditioning will be every B day starting Wed May 21, from 4-5:15 and every B day. Please pick up athletes prompty.
Summer conditioning will be every Tues, Wed, Thurs mornings from 7:30 - 9:15 at the school. Conditioning is optional but highly recommended.
During school, practice is every day, 3:55pm-5:45pm @ DFHS. Practice may run longer, but please have rides prearranged for pickup at 5:30. Athletes should ALWAYS bring water with them and be prepared for inclement weather. Please read our Handbook section to make sure you can meet attendance requirements before committing.
Summer Camp Info: If you are interested in joining us for our summer camp at Appalachin State July 20-24 please complete this letter ( click to download ) and bring or send to Coach Lindler with the non-refundable deposit of $125 by May 30. The balance of $300 will be due by July 3rd. Our summer camp is a great experience and a key component to a successful fall season. Camp is a rigourous experience that comes with many rewards. Attending athletes must be able to run 60 minutes non-stop, and is not suitable for first time runners. There will be additional forms required as we get closer to camp date. Congratulations Roland Hakes, winning the 1600 Meter State Championship, his 4th State Championship in his career, with the fastest time in the state, 4:13, setting a new DFHS record, third fastest in State 4A History.

Congratulations Roland Hakes, winning his second Cross Country State Championship ! Roland set yet another DF 5K record with a 15:10 time, equaling the State Championship course record, 4th best in State 4A history, finishing his Cross Country career as the fastest 5K runner in DF History !
