Runners from Irmo and Dutch Fork took their talent to the Upstate over the weekend, running in the Trojan Invitational.
Irmo’s boys took first place led by Aaron Skiro who finished third with a time of 17:06. Other top finishers for Irmo included Andrew Jordan (5th), Andy Roof (7th), Jamie Lanier (19th) and Patrick Duggan (37th).
Alex Neal and Myron Jackson also ran for the Yellow Jackets.
Dutch Fork finished third overall, but had the top finisher as Roland Hakes won the event with a time of 16:24.
Other top finshers for Dutch Fork were Zac Jaynes (11th), Jesse Richards (15th), Michael Sherman (34th) and Jo Klansic (35th).
Michael Bradley and Michael Metz also ran for the Foxes. (more)

Dutch Fork’s Roland Hakes finished second at the Run Wild Invitational Saturday.
The Silver Foxes also took second overall at the cross country event, finishing behind Wando.
Hakes, the defending state champion, finished the 5K course with a time of 16:16.36, four seconds behind Wando’s Timothy Tyler.
Dutch Fork’s Zac Jaynes finished third overall.
Other DFHS participants included Jesse Richards (13th), Jo Klasnic (19th), Michael Bradley (22nd), Michael Metz (26th) and Michael Sherman (40th)
Brookland-Cayce’s boys also competed at the event finishing eighth.

B-C’s top finisher was Herbert Cojulun at 11th. Other finishers were: Brandon Paul (37th), Corey Day (44th), Malachi Koeing (52nd) and David Terry (57th) ( subscription required to read the rest of the article )
